Digital Asset Management

We were asked to create an online digital asset management system for a leading international entertainment business.

What we delivered

Working with web and graphic design business we created an information management system that allows different user types to navigate, upload and control information shared with partners.

The system is modeled around products available. For a product, the admin users can store detailed information on it including images, trailers, marketing materials and layered artwork.

They also have a page-based CMS allowing them to control the content of other information pages and upload release schedules.

The system is password-protected by default and requires each user to be registered before they can use it. A ‘Send Download Link’ feature allows for limited sharing of content with unregistered users.

We also migrated all their existing asset data and files from an existing online system into the new system.

Tourist Guides Engine

We were asked to simplify the creation and generation of tourist guides.

What we delivered

Following requirements analysis, we built and delivered an online system which allows property owners to purchase entries, submit / update information and view an online proof of their publication entry for sign off. Extensive admin and sales backend to allow for imports, reporting, XML output and tracking progress of each entry.

We were asked to build a secure download engine allowing site visitors to buy and download publications.

What we delivered

Working with a local design company, we built a custom e-commerce engine and online delivery system to allow site visitors to select, pay for and then download reports in a secure manner.

For payments we integrated the engine with RBS WorldPay.

CMS and Report Uploader

We were asked to build a content management system and secure realtime reporting solution for a group of engineers and geotechnical experts.

What was delivered

Working in collaboration with a web design business, we built a CMS which allows the site admins to edit page content and a mechanism which allows the group to upload reports for clients to view progress and track their projects.

To use the realtime reporting system, each customer is then given a unique username / password which allows them to view / search / filter and download the available reports.

Our customer had an existing eBay shop and wished to sell directly to an alternate customer base. We were asked to build a custom shopping basket mechanism to allow new and existing customers to order quickly.

What we delivered

Following requirements analysis, we built a streamlined shopping basket engine which allowed customers to quickly purchase items. They were also supplied with an ordering processing system. We integrated both PayPal and SagePay payment gateways to process payments.

Systems integration was performed via SOAP with Google Products so the same products now appear in multiple locations based on a single online browser-based administration system.

The technologies used included: PHP5, mySQL5, HTML4, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, SOAP, cURL and XML.

Catch Training Equipment

We were asked to create an online ordering system to allow site visitors to buy a small set of catch training equipment online.

What we delivered

Working with web and graphic design business we created a simple e-commerce engine. This allows the site visitor to fill in the products they required and quantities. The engine calculated the shipping charge and asks them to fill in their details. Payment is taken online via integration with Yorkshire Bank.

When the orders are confirmed as paid for, the site admin and visitor are sent order confirmation emails. The site admin also has an order processing system allowing them to make notes, cancel orders and tag orders as shipped / completed.

Staff Tracking Database

We were asked to create an online staff tracking database to track information relating course instructors for a sports activity provider.

What we delivered

Working with web and graphic design business we created an online staff tracking database. The entries are searchable with an AJAX based auto-complete selector. We also used an upload component with a progress bar so the staff can see progress in larger uploads.

A report is also provided to quickly see what information has been collected from an instructor, their status, etc.

Coaching Staff Performance

We were asked to create an online staff analysis and performance improvement tool to help a coaching business support their course offerings.

What we delivered

Working with web and graphic design business we created an online questionnaire and reporting system. The coach invites the staff member to answer a set of questions using a rating mechanism. The answers are totaled and grouped by four categories. After the questionnaire is complete and reviewed by the coach, the staff member is supplied with a detailed report providing insight into areas of improvement. They are also guided through the process of creating an action plan to implement those changes.

The report is delivered as an online private mini-site and as a dynamically generated PDF for later review/saving.
