Windsurfing Equipment

We were asked to rebuild and enhance an online e-commerce shop selling windsurfing equipment.  The work was awarded a runner up place at the Creative East Awards.

What we delivered

Working in collaboration with a local web design company we built a custom e-commerce engine with content management system to control all aspects of shop behaviour.

The engine has a browser-based admin area to add, update and remove products, along with the ability to directly control prices, promotions, categories, sub-categories, delivery, etc.

A product search, with tagging for specials offers, new products and gift promotions is also available.

Payment gateway integration was performed with multiple providers.

The admin system includes an online mechanism to process orders and view customer details with automated email notifications.

The technologies used included: PHP5, mySQL5, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, and cURL.
