We were asked to develop a new ecommerce website for a mobility aids supplier.
Working in collaboration with a local web marketing company we develop a bespoke ecommerce engine with a content management system to control all aspects of shop behaviour.
An online browser-based admin area was developed to add, update and remove products and change options available.
The site admin has the ability to directly control prices, promotions, categories, sub-categories, delivery, etc.
The prices are setup as two-tier with VAT relief for those who are chronically sick or disabled and are purchasing goods for personal or domestic use which are relevant to their disability.
A basic and advanced product search is available to site visitor, with tagging for special offers.
Search engine optimisation is improved with editable category header / footer area, along with navigation by categories setup in the admin area.
Online payments are setup with Barclaycard CPI.
There is also an online mechanism to process orders and customer details with automated email notifications.
The system took over 2,000 orders.
